The Bertha Blaze sent the Bluffton Braves packing from the Hi-10 Playoffs Saturday afternoon with the seven-inning, 12-2 victory.

Despite the loss, Bluffton still earned a berth in the Region 14C Playoffs as the Hi-10 wild card and will play the Resorters East Champion Carlos Cougars at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 in Clarissa.

The second-seed Blaze will battle top-seed Wadena-Deer Creek at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Deer Creek for the Hi-10 title. Both teams also advance to the Region 14C playoffs.

The Bluffton vs. Bertha Hi-10 League baseball playoff game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in New York Mills was rained out this evening.

Instead, the fourth-seed Braves will travel to Bertha to take the second-seed Blazers at 1:30 p.m. Saturday (tomorrow).

Because of the game was postponed, all Hi-10 playoff games have been pushed back by a day with the winner moving on to take on the Wadena-Deer Creek Area Shockers on Sunday instead. That game most likely will be played at 1:30 p.m. in Deer Creek.
