BREAKING NEWS: Prep baseball championship games still on for Wednesday—for now

The Minnesota State High School League’s Prep Championship Series — the three state championship baseball games — are still scheduled for Wednesday, June 22. The weather forecast indicates only “periods” of rain rather than showers (which by the way are occurring as this is written). The schedule — for now — is for the Class A game to start at noon, followed by the Class AA game at 3 p.m. and the Class AAA game at 6 p.m.
League officials will reassess the weather situation early tomorrow (June 22) morning in order to use the most current weather forecast information. A status report will be posted on the home page of the League website — www.MSHSL.org — about 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Target Field is also available Thursday, June 23, should it become necessary to postpone the games again. The original date for the Prep Championship Series was today.
