Prep Boys Golf: Warriors place eighth at Mid-Minn Conference Thursday

Brad Johnson carded a 96, followed by Lane Hillukka’s 98 as the United North Central Warriors boys golf team finished eighth with 498 points at the Mid-Minn Conference meet at the Whitefish Golf Club on Thursday.

Zach Israelson of Staples-Motley shot 75 for medalist honors in leading the Cardinals to a 28-stroke victory with 401 points.

Wadena-Deer Creek tallied 429 points for a distant runner-up finish as Michael Wing shot 76 for the Wolverines.

Bailey Mueller shot a 86 to lead Park Rapids to sixth.

Dreke Anderson and Aaron Paulson both carded 101 with Tyler Meech adding 102 to round out the Warriors day on the links.
