Prep Boys Hockey: Willmar blanks Wadena-Deer Creek, 6-0

Wadena, Minn.—Graham Dahl scored with 46 seconds left in the game to complete his hat trick as Willmar blanked host Wadena-Deer Creek 6-0 during Friday’s Section 6A contest.
Tyler Pendill, Trey Tollefson and Hunter Schneider also scored for the Cardinals. Dahl also added an assist to finish with four points.
The Cardinals (7-10) broke open a scoreless game with three goals apiece in the second and third periods to keep Wadena-Deer Creek winless.
Willmar outshot the Wolverines 17-5 in the third period and 36-28 for the game.
Levi Goosmann turned away all 28 shots to earn the shutout. Cory McManigle took the net loss for Wadena-Deer Creek.
Wadena-Deer Creek (0-14) travels to Breckenridge/Wahpeton at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
