Prep Football: Michaelson, Pequot Lakes run past Yellowjackets, 25-14

Nolan Michaelson rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns to help power host Pequot Lakes past Perham 25-14 in Heart O’ Lakes Conference action Friday night.

The Patriots’ senior running back scored on touchdown runs of three, 31 and three yards as both teams did all their scoring in the first half.

The Yellowjackets’ Jordan Hein scored on a three-yard run and then found Mike Wiskow for a 48-yard scoring strike late in the second quarter.

Pequot Lakes capped the scoring as time expired during the first half on Jordan Redmond’s 30-yard touchdown pass to Peter Harrison.

Hein racked up 126 yards rushing on 31 carries and completed 12 passes for 175 yards for the ‘Jackets in the loss.

Logan Lange also topped the century mark in rushing for the Patriots with 105 yards on 20 carries.

The ‘Jackets outgained Pequot Lakes 339-313 in total offense.
