Prep Girls Hockey: Blue Devils scorched by Northern Lakes, 7-0

Breezy Point, Minn.—Alex Palm iced a hat trick as the Northern Lakes Lightning scorched Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek 7-0 on Tuesday night.
It was the second consecutive game that the Blue Devils were held without a goal as they managed only 16 shots at Lighting goalie Madison Galligan.
Also contributing for Northern Lakes in the Mid-State Conference victory were Mariah Reed with a goal and two assists. Megan Snyder, Kaylyn Eggena and Mandy Carlson netted a goal and helper for the Lightning, who improved to 2-6 on the season.
Stephanie DeGrote and Erika Monson added an assist, as did Palm, who provided the feed during the Lightning’s final goal of the game to finish with four points.
Blue Devil goalie Sarah Holm finished with 31 saves in the loss.
The Blue Devils (1-6) will have the rest of the week off before they participate in the Schwan Cup Holiday Tournament in Blaine on December 28-30.
