Prep Girls Tennis: New York Mills to host 3rd annual Mills Open Celebrity Tennis Classic on October 1

The New York Mills girls' tennis team extends a ‘come one, come all’ invitation to the community when the Lady Eagles host its 3rd Annual Mills Open Celebrity Tennis Classic on Saturday, October 1.

A lunch featuring burgers, hot dogs and more will be served at 12:00 p.m. with the tennis matches beginning at 1:00 p.m.

This entertaining doubles tournament features current Lady Eagles players and local celebrity partners competing in a modified mini-match format for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and consolation places.

Fans are encouraged to give a $2 donation at the courts. All funds raised will benefit the NYM Booster Club-Lady Eagles' Tennis Fund.

Special awards to be bestowed upon guest celebrity players: Fan Favorite (fans' vote for the most entertaining player), Ageless Wonder (for the best “vintage” player on the court), Best Dressed (for the most original and outstanding tennis attire) and the "Johnny Mac" award (for the most "bratty" celebrity player).
