Prep Volleyball: Lady Braves defeather Staples-Motley

After losing the first set, Menahga rallied to win the next three to defeather the host Staples-Motley Cardinals 18-25, 25-11, 25-12, 25-14 during Thursday’s non-conference girls volleyball match.

Jenny Skoog led the Lady Braves with eight kills with Tarah Cleveland adding six. Cleveland also posted a team-high 15 digs from the backcourt and posted four set assists. Delanie Weyer registered 17 set assists for the Lady Braves, who have won three of their last four matches to improve to 5-9 on the season.

Kelly Pearson posted a team-high 10 kills and seven digs for Staples-Motley (1-13). Kaitlin Spar contributed six blocks while Ashley Jenniges and Quinn Uhlman both posted seven set assists for the Cardinals in the loss.

Menahga will participate in the Parkers Prairie Tournament on Saturday.
