BERTHA-HEWITT/VERNDALE RAIDERS

Section: 6A
The Raiders of Bertha Hewitt/Verndale have a very young team returning from their 4-18 dual meet campaign. They will return four section place winners including one state place winner and twelve others with a great deal of experience. The Raiders graduated one very good senior, with that in consideration, look for this young team to continue to improve during the course of the season. The Raiders should challenge for one of those top four spots in the section dual meet campaign. Also look for them to challenge conference honors too. Colin Turchin and Dylan Koppendrayer should be their key leaders throughout the season.

They did graduate four including four section place winners and one state qualifier, but look for the grapplers to improve during the course of the season. The Eagles should challenge those dual meet marks of last season. They should also make a challenge for both section and conference honors. Shane Novak, Noah Pesola and Tyler Patron should be their key leaders throughout the season.

The Bulldogs did graduate five seniors including two state qualifiers, despite that they could challenge those dual number from last season. The Bulldogs could be a force to be dealt with if they healthy and their younger wrestlers improve of the course of the season. Zach Johnson, Zach Matthys, Nolan Koch and Allen Peyerl should be their key leaders throughout the season.

The Royals of Royalton posted good dual meet numbers of 12-9, back from that team are four state qualifiers, two section place winners and five others with a great deal of varsity experience. The Royals did graduate eight seniors last spring, so they could be hard pressed to improve on those numbers. But look for the younger wrestlers to step over the course of the season. They could possibly challenge for one of those top four spots in the section dual meet campaign. Look for the Royals to be a force in their new conference, as they will compete in the Park Region Conference this season. Andy Poster, Mitch Lange, Cory Wensmann, Tyler Hegna, Brady Moulzolf and Tony Gadacz to be their key leaders throughout the season.

They should challenge for a top four spot in the section dual meet campaign. Also look for the Warriors to be a force to be dealt with in the conference, as they could challenge for honors in the Park Region Conference. Jake Malone, Max Pajari, Tommy Tellers, Sam Tellers, Taylor Carlson and Mike Johnson should be their key leaders throughout the season.
