Timberwolves waive Dominique Johnson and Shaun Pruitt

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has waived training camp invitees Dominique Johnson and Shaun Pruitt.
Johnson, a 6-3 guard from Azusa Pacific, was an NAIA All-American First Team selection in 2010 after leading the Cougars in scoring with 17.1 ppg. Johnson began the 2011-12 season with the Texas Legends of the NBA D-League, averaging 18.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg and 2.3 apg in four games. He also played for the Legends in 2010-11.
Pruitt, a 6-10 forward-center, was undrafted after a four-year career at the University of Illinois (2004-08). He played overseas in the Czech Republic League and the Chinese Basketball Association during the 2008-09 season. Pruitt played for Peristeri BC in the Greek League and Gallitos de Isabela in the Puerto Rico league in 2009-10.
