Twins trade Slowey to Rockies for player to be named later

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have traded right-handed pitcher Kevin Slowey to the Colorado Rockies for a player to be named later.

Slowey, 27, was originally drafted by the Twins in the second round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft. He went 0-8, 6.67 ERA (59.1 ip, 44 er), allowing 78 hits with five walks and 34 strikeouts in 14 appearances (eight starts) with the Twins last season.
