Eden Prairie, MN (February 4, 2012) - Former Vikings DE/LB Chris Doleman was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame today. Chosen by the Hall’s Board of Selectors, Doleman joins 10 former Vikings who have also earned the prestigious honor. He will be enshrined in Canton on Saturday, August 4, 2012.

St. Cloud, Minn.--The University of Minnesota women’s hockey team earned an 8-1 victory at St. Cloud State tonight. Amanda Kessel had a career-best six points in the game with two goals and four assists.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. --North Dakota used three third-period goals from Michelle Karvinen as she tallied a hat trick to send Univeristy of North Dakota past Bemidji State University 5-2 Friday night at Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Beavers fall to 14-13-3 (8-13-2 WCHA). North Dakota improves to 17-9-2 (13-8-2 WCHA). The Beavers took the early advantage but gave up four-straight UND goals in the loss.

St. Charles, Minn.—Cheyenne Losey led Kingsland with 12 points and Lizzie Tart added 10 as the Lady Knights lost a 50-49 squeaker to St. Charles in a Three Rivers Conference game Thursday.

Kingsland led 28-21 at the break, but the Fighting Saints rallied in the second half to pick up their seventh victory in the past 10 games after starting the season 1-10.

Wadena-Deer Creek eighth-grader Dylan Phillips had a breakout game against rival Detroit Lakes on Thursday. He scored four goals, including the game-winner, as the Wolverines picked up their first win of the season.

Sebeka, Minn.—Sebeka had four players post double figures en route to Tuesday’s 78-20 Park Region Conference rout of the visiting Pillager Huskies.

Alicia Boe led all scorers with 19 points, followed by Brett Brockpahler with 16, Jessica Lillquist 13 and Logan Redetzke with 11.

The Lady Trojans led 60-8 at halftime and remain perfect in the conference with an 8-0 record.
