Both Courtney Volkmann and Avery Jackson dropped 14 points apiece and Hannah Toedter added 12 as the Lady Wolverines held off Frazee’s second half swarm to win 55-44 in non-conference action on Tuesday.

Wadena-Deer Creek led as much as 21 before the Lady Hornets started buzzing the baskets to pull within four points in the second half.

“It was a game of two halves,” Lady Wolverine coach Brian Silbernick said. “We didn’t shoot as well [in the second half] and took too many quick shots which helped Frazee get back into the game.”
