Browerville, Minn.—Tarah Cleveland poured in 24 points and Jenny Skoog added 11 as Menahga picked up its second straight win during Monday’s 56-43 non-conference win over Browerville.

Cleveland also dished out a team-high six assists and Arielle Pihlaja knocked down eight points, eight boards and a team-high six blocks against the Tigers. Beth Tormanen had eight of the Lady Braves’ 16 steals in the game.

Menahga, Minn.—Tanner Schwartz hit the game-winner with 0.8 seconds left as Menahga won its third straight game with Friday’s 65-64 Park Region Conference win over Verndale.

Schwartz ended up posting a double-double for the Braves with a team-high 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Menahga outscored Verndale in the second half (33-24) after the Pirates carried an eight-point lead into the locker room at haltime, 40-32.

Brooklyn Park, Minn.— The Minnesota State High School League staff has completed production of an instructional video intended to demonstrate proper and improper checks and hits in hockey in a continuing effort to educate players, coaches, officials and fans so that potential injurious actions are reduced and ultimately eliminated from the game.

Crookston, Minn.—United North Central had three wrestlers claim titles in their respective weight classes as the Warriors went on to win the Rodd Olson Invitational in Crookston on Saturday.

Overall, the Warriors had 13 grapplers place in the top six spots in the 11-team invitational with Tom Tellers (8th grade, 113 lbs), Jake Malone (Jr., 126 lbs.) and Max Pajari (Jr., 138 lbs.) winning individual titles.
