Park Rapids, Minn.—Three Park Rapids players scored in double figures as the Panthers used a strong second half to shock Menahga 66-48 during Tuesday’s non-conference game.

Chris Goplerud and Andy Waller netted 13 points apiece while Kyle Goplerud added 11 points for the Panthers, who picked up their third win of the season.

New York Mills, Minn.—Four Menahga players posted double figures during Friday’s 75-52 Park Region Conference victory over New York Mills.

Tanner Schwartz scored 19 points; Markus Tolkkinen totaled 15 with Stetson Burkman adding 12 and Austen Schwartz 10 for the Braves, which had 10 players contribute to the scoring.

Menahga, Minn.—Markus Tolkkinen and Tanner Schwartz combined for 51 points during Menahga’s 79-66 Park Region Conference loss to Pillager on Friday.

Tolkkinen went 9 for 17 from the field and converted 9 of 15 from the free-throw line to lead all scorers with 27 points. The 5-foot-10 senior guard also registered seven rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Wadena, Minn.—Austen Schwartz drained six three-pointers en route to a game-high 24 points, but it wasn’t enough to help Menahga get past Wadena-Deer Creek during Thursday’s 66-64 non-conference loss.

Both teams combined to shoot the lights out by converting 13 three-pointers in the contest.

Menahga, Minn.—Tanner Schwartz hit the game-winner with 0.8 seconds left as Menahga won its third straight game with Friday’s 65-64 Park Region Conference win over Verndale.

Schwartz ended up posting a double-double for the Braves with a team-high 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Menahga outscored Verndale in the second half (33-24) after the Pirates carried an eight-point lead into the locker room at haltime, 40-32.
