The Wolves lost their fifth consecutive game last night, falling to the Milwaukee
Bucks, 87-72 at Target Center.

The Wolves started out strong as they shot 47.6% in the first quarter to Milwaukee's 33.3%, but their lead began to slip as the half came to a close with the Wolves leading 38-33.

The Timberwolves lost a heartbreaker as the Boston Celtics won 92-90 at Target
Center last night. 

Minnesota came out strong as they shot 53.4% from the field through three quarters and took a 72-69 lead going into the fourth.  The rest of the way, it was a back and forth battle between the two teams until Boston finally took the lead for good with 4:18 remaining in the game on a Rajon Rondo lay-up.

The Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday announced that the team has exercised the fourth-year option on guard/forward Corey Brewer and the third-year option on forward Kevin Love. The Wolves declined to extend forward Oleksiy Pecherov for next season.

Damien Wilkins scored a put-back basket at the buzzer as the Wolves erased a 16-point fourth quarter deficit to steal a 95-93 win from the New Jersey Nets at Target Center last night.

Trailing by 16, 87-71, with 6:51 left in the game, the Wolves went on a 22-4 run to take a two-point lead with 22.9 seconds left.  Devin Harris hit a 7' running bank shot with 18.5 seconds left to tie the game 93-93. Wilkins then gave the Timberwolves the win after he rebounded a Jonny Flynn missed jumper, hitting a short bank shot as time expired.

The Minnesota Timberwolves announced today that the team has requested waivers on guard Antonio Daniels.

Daniels, who was acquired in a trade with New Orleans on Sept. 9, did not appear in a game with the Wolves this preseason.

The 6-4 guard has played in 867 career games over his 12-year career, including stops in Vancouver, San Antonio, Portland, Seattle, Washington and New Orleans. Originally selected by Vancouver with the fourth overall pick of the 1997 NBA Draft, Daniels owns career averages of 7.6 points and 3.4 assists per game.

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love underwent successful surgery on Tuesday evening to repair a fracture in his left hand (fourth metacarpal). The procedure was performed by Dr. Andrew Weiland of New York City's Hospital for Special Surgery and involved the insertion of three screws into Love's hand.

The Minnesota Timberwolves announced today that the team has requested waivers on center Jared Reiner. The preseason roster now stands at 14 players.

Reiner signed with the Wolves as a free agent on Sept. 28, 2009. Reiner saw action in three games for the Wolves this preseason, averaging 3.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 10.3 minutes.

The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has acquired 6-10 forward Nathan Jawai and cash considerations from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for a conditional second-round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. The pick is protected through the 55th draft position.
