The Minnesota State High School League’s Prep Championship Series — the three state championship baseball games — are still scheduled for Wednesday, June 22. The weather forecast indicates only “periods” of rain rather than showers (which by the way are occurring as this is written). The schedule — for now — is for the Class A game to start at noon, followed by the Class AA game at 3 p.m. and the Class AAA game at 6 p.m.

New York Mills Head Coach Chris Bushinger hopes that his baseball team still has some confidence left over from last years strong finish when the Eagles hit the field on Thursday.

“We played our best ball at the end of the season last year—which is exactly what we want to do—playing our best ball when playoffs start.” Bushinger said. “We did this with a very young group of ball players so, hopefully that confidence with carry over to this season.”
