Brainerd, Minn.—Both Heather and Hope Theisen shot 17 over par to lead the Wadena-Deer Creek girls golf team during the rain-shortened Cardinal Invitational at The Legacy Golf Course on Saturday.

All golfers played nine holes with the scores determined in relation to par.

Annie Heck of eighth-place Visitation was the only golfer to finish under par when she carded a one-under to capture medalist honors.

Lady Wolverine Paige Hartman (center) was one of five Wadena-Deer Creek golfers to qualify for the Section 8AA meet on Thursday. Hartman posted a team-low 93 in the subsection tournament in Detroit Lakes.

Amanda Kramer shot a 98 as Wadena-Deer Creek placed seventh at the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Invitational at the Longbow Golf Course on Thursday.

Crookston’s Monica Wold took medalist honors with a 77, which help the Pirates edge Roseau by two strokes to capture first place in the event.

Ella Harrison shot an 100 to help lead the Lady Wolverines into 10th-place during the 12-team WDC Invitational held at the Whitetail Run Golf Course on Thursday.

Savannah Stone fired an 83 to capture medalist honors as Pequot Lakes finished sixth overall in the team standings. Detroit Lakes won the meet with 342 points.

The Perham Yellowjackets won the Pelican Rapids Invitational at the Wildflower Golf Course Friday with a score of 370, which was 25 strokes ahead of runner-up Hawley.

The ‘Jackets were led by medalist Holly Karkela, who shot an 87. Sophomore Ali Smith was four strokes off the lead, but lost the tie-breaker to Hawley’s Lexi Matfeld for third place. Senior Kaylan Huber was fifth with 95.

Paige Hartman’s 108 led the way for Wadena-Deer Creek during a 12th-place finish at the Cardinal Invitational on Monday.

It was the first girls golf meet of the season for the Lady Wolverines, who had to deal with a slew of inclement weather postponements that pushed the start of the season back.

Amanda Kramer shot a 109, followed by Kelsey Browne with 114 and Breanna Speed 116 as the Lady Wolverines tallied a team score of 447.

Kayla Krause fired an 88 to pace the Wadena-Deer Creek girls golf team to a seventh place showing at the Wadena-Deer Creek Invitational Thursday.

Krause missed the individual medalist honors by two strokes as Matty Tschider of Detroit Lakes captured first place with 82 and Trista Hutchinson was fifth with 86 in leading the Lakers to the team title.

Perham’s Kaylan Huber shot 86 for the runner-up Yellowjackets and Kelly Hagenson fired an 86 to lead Staples-Motley to eighth place.

Kayla Krause shot a team low 91 for medalist honors as the Wadena-Deer Creek girls golf team finished fourth in the Pelican Rapids Invitational at Wildflower on Tuesday.

The Lady Wolverines shot 420 to edge fifth-place finisher West Central Area by six strokes.

Ella Harrison carded 107, Breanna Speed had 110 and Amanda Kramer turned in 112 to round out the Lady Wolverines’ team score. Paige Hartman (115) and Kelsey Browne (121) provided the kicker scores.
