Sebeka, Minn.—Paul Funk and Austin Cannon were the only Sebeka player in double figures during Saturday’s 82-38 non-conference loss to Pequot Lakes in the regular season finale for both teams.

“Pequot Lakes was a tough matchup for us.” Sebeka head coach Jon Lillquist said. “They are very big and strong and we had problems with their physical style of play.”

Staples, Minn.—Austin Cannon and Carlos Castro tallied 11 points apiece for Sebeka during Friday’s 67-47 non-conference loss to Staples-Motley.

The loss extended the Trojans losing streak to four games while the Cardinals halted a three-game slide.

Verndale, Minn.—Sebeka had three players score in double figures, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Verndale from posting a 75-62 Park Region Conference victory on Tuesday.

Carlos Castro tossed in a team-high 15 points, while Paul Funk and Justin Clark dropped in 14 points apiece for the Trojans, who shot a cool 31 percent (20 for 65) from the floor.

Pillager, Minn.—Five Sebeka players posted double digits in the scoring column, but it wasn’t enough during Monday’s 65-61 loss to Pillager during a Park Region Conference game.

Senior Paul Funk, who sat out during Saturday’s 50-point loss to New London-Spicer, limped back on the court to lead the Trojans with 12 points.

Sebeka, Minn.—Paul Funk netted 25 points but Sebeka still fell short against Bertha-Hewitt 69-62 during Tuesday’s Park Region Conference game.

The Trojans were missing a starter for the third straight game as Justin Clark was sidelined due to illness.

Sebeka, Minn.—Paul Funk netted a team-high 19 points and Austin Cannon added 12 for Sebeka during its season-opening 89-53 loss to Browerville in Tuesday’s boys basketball action.

“Browerville showed why they are state ranked,” Sebeka head coach Jon Lillquist said. “Their size was just too much for us to handle.”
