Sebeka, Minn.—For the second time this season, the Park Region Conference softball game between Sebeka and Menahga came down to the wire.

Brett Brockpahler drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Lady Trojans the 5-4 walk off victory.

Sebeka, Minn.—Sebeka used a four-run sixth to hand Verndale an 8-4 loss during Tuesday’s Park Region Conference contest.

The host Lady Trojans jumped up front in the opening frame when Shelby Pulju ripped a double that scored Katie Brockpahler and Jessica Lillquist for the 2-0 lead.

The Eagles of New Life Academy of Woodbury in Class A and the Pirates of Park Center, Brooklyn Park, in Class AA return to defend their respective titles. A new champion will emerge in Class AAA because Burnsville, which won in 2010, failed to qualify for this year’s tournament.

Lindsey White and Amelia Pho of Menahga and Jessica Lillquist of Sebeka were recently named to the Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association's 2011 Class A All-State Softball Team.

White was a first-team pick while Pho earned second-team honors. Lillquist landed on the honorable mention team.

Lindsey White and Tarah Cleveland scattered three hits and Joy Haataja ripped two doubles as Menahga won 9-1 to bounce Park Region Conference rival Sebeka from the Section 6A playoffs Thursday.

The two teams had split during the regular season, with Menahga winning 9-6 in the season opener back in April. The Lady Trojans even the score with a 2-1 win at home on May 17.

Jessica Lillquist went 7-for-9 with five runs and eight RBIs to help Sebeka make it four in a row with Tuesday’s 15-12 and 12-6 Park Region Conference sweep of Parkers Prairie.

The sweep improved Sebeka’s overall record to 5-6 and 4-5 in the conference.
