Both the Sebeka and Henning volleyball teams landed four players on the recently announced Park Region All-Conference Team.

Sebeka, which won the outright Park Region Conference crown with a 6-0 mark, was led by Jessica Lillquist. The senior middle hitter was voted the Park Region Conference Most Valuable Player.

Ellie Rutten posted five kills and six blocks and Brooke Kupfer added 10 digs for New York Mills in Thursday’s Park Region Conference loss to Sebeka.

The Lady Trojans posted 25-6, 25-16 and 25-23 scores to remain undefeated in conference play.

Brittney Noon lasered 14 kills and Emily Miron added 10 as Class AA, 10th ranked Wadena-Deer Creek dispatch Sebeka 3-0 during a non-conference girls volleyball match Tuesday at the elementary school gymnasium.

The Lady Wolverines posted 25-15, 25-22 and 25-15 scores to hand the visiting Lady Trojans (3-1) their first loss of the season.

Menahga senior Lindsay White was named to the Park region All-Conference team.

Lindsay White was the lone Menahga representative selected to the 2010 Park Region All-Conference Team. The senior notched a team-high 61 kills, eight service aces and 16 blocks.

New York Mills’ lone senior Megan Cole tallied a team-high seven kills to go along with her seven blocks and two digs and sophomore Jackie Imsande contributed four digs and seven blocks but it wasn’t enough to get the Lady Eagles past Park Region Conference foe Sebeka Thursday night.

The Lady Trojans kept the host Lady Eagles winless on the year by sweeping the conference match in three games by scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-21.

Taylor Plautz notched three kills, one ace, four blocks and one dig while Lexie Rankka had seven set assists for New York Mills.

Senior Lindsey White had a team-high five kills to go with 16 digs, one block and one set assist but the Menahga Lady Braves were blanked by Park Region Conference rival Sebeka in three games Thursday.

The Lady Trojans dispatched Menahga by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-19.

Beth Tormanen led the Lady Braves with 20 digs, followed by Tarah Cleveland with 18. Delanie Weyer paced the Menahga offense with 13 set assists to go with her eight digs.

Senior Amelia Pho also contributed two kills and 12 digs for the Lady Braves in the loss.
