Prep Volleyball: Lady Wolverines pick up conference win over Pequot Lakes

Brittney Noon blasted a team-high 19 kills to go with her five digs and four blocks as Wadena-Deer Creek survived a tough Mid-State Conference battle with Pequot Lakes on Thursday.

For the second consecutive match, the Lady Wolverines had a game two meltdown after easily dispatching their opponents in the opener.

A dark and stormy night at the beginning couldn’t ruin a perfect ending to a storybook season Saturday afternoon at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

New York Mills Booster Club hosting Burger and Brat Feed Tuesday, September 28

The New York Mills Booster Club will be having a burger and brat feed prior to the Lady Eagles varsity volleyball match with Wadena-Deer Creek on Tuesday, September 28.

The menu consists of either a burger or brat with potato salad, chips and lemonade.
The feed will run from 4:15 to 7 p.m. in the New York Mills school commons area.

All the proceeds will be donated to the Wadena-Deer Creek Athletics Program
 

Prep Volleyball: Lady Wolverines place two on State Class AA All-Tournament Team

The Wadena-Deer Creek volleyball team had two players that were named All-Tournament after the Lady Wolverines won the State Class AA consolation championship on Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center.
 
Kelsi Crawford and Courtney Volkmann, both juniors, were chosen for the nine-person team presented by Wells-Fargo and the Minnesota State High School League. 
 
The team was selected by a panel of coaches attend
