Emily Miron (12) was one of five Wadena-Deer Creek players to be named to the 2011 Mid-State All-Conference Team recently. The junior led the team with 254 blocks and slammed 402 kills during the season.

Barnesville had nine players receiving postseason accolades when the 21 member All-Prairie North Conference Team was recently announced.

The Trojans (9-1) went 5-0 in conference games and finished with the No. 3 ranking in the final Class 2A coaches poll. Barnesville was upset by Warroad 21-20 in the Section 8AA semifinal playoff game.

Not only did Barnesville dominate with the number of players named to the all-conference squad, they also snagged four of the Prairie North Conference’s five top offensive and defensive awards.

Wadena-Deer Creek work horse running back Logan Meyer was one of the two Wolverines to landed on the 2011 All-Section 6AA Team announced this afternoon. The senior rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored 10 touchdowns for the Wolverines, who went 0-9 this season.

Seniors Logan Meyer and Jacob Ludovissie raked in three top honors this prep football season.
